  • We're looking for a creative Content Designer to help build and balance our new open world. You'll be designing everything players encounter as they adventure. Creatures and enemies, items, treasure spawns, collectibles, boss fights, environment layouts, you name it. If it's in the world, you're designing it.

    Our hybrid studio is based in Arlington, VA. We offer a benefits package that includes health coverage and PTO.

    We are open to remote for exceptional candidates based in the United States.

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency crafting game content, implementing a story-based hero’s journey and creating environment layouts

    • Experience creating balanced systems of items, collectibles, treasures and spawns to populate the world

    • 5+ years in the game industry with at least one shipped survival game

    • Ability to rapidly master proprietary tools and development pipelines

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with producers, programmers, designers, as well as artists.

    • Passion for gaming

    • Experience with Unity a plus

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement interesting and varied encounters in an open world game

    • Utilize your world design and storyline skills to further enhance gameplay experience

    • Design, develop and implement gathering, crafting and itemization trees

    • Provide crisp feedback to quickly iterate on concepts, proposing solutions as well as criticisms

    • Work with systems and content designers to balance and tune encounters throughout the game

    • Contribute to the overall game design, leveraging your unique perspective to help create the best possible player experience

  • We’re looking for a Graphic Design Intern with a genuine passion for gaming to help support our marketing efforts for our recently announced game Echoes of Elysium. As an intern, you’ll be an embedded contributor creating eye-catching assets tailored for social channels, community hubs, Steam storefront, our website, and more.

    This is a 3-months summer internship opportunity (paid hourly) for current college students or recent grads. You’ll report directly to the Community & Marketing Manager working 16-20 hours per week.

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other relevant tools

    • Enthusiasm for games and a desire to learn about the game development process

    • Eagerness to share creative ideas and experiment with visual marketing assets

    • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye maintaining brand coherence to foster audience recognition across a variety of platforms

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

    • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in graphic design, digital media, or a related field (preferred but not required).

    • Bonus points: Familiar with video editing software and editing tools within social media platforms

    • Create visually engaging assets for social media, marketing, and community engagement efforts

    • Produce ready-to-publish marketing assets from; raw game assets, concept art, and in-game screenshots/footage

    • Iterate on designs based on feedback to ensure high-quality visual content that aligns with overall creative direction

    • Stay updated on design trends and contribute fresh ideas to enhance the studio's marketing campaigns

  • We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer with a passion for survival games to help shape the user experience of in-game interfaces on our latest project. You’ll work closely with designers, engineers, and artists, to define player interactions with major gameplay systems. This is a 3-months freelance opportunity with the option to extend.

    Our hybrid studio is based in Arlington, VA. We are open to remote for candidates based in the continental United States.

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years in the games industry with experience developing and owning UX/UI designs for shipped PC and/or console games

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with producers, programmers, designers, as well as artists

    • Ability to clearly communicate and translate complex gameplay mechanics through intuitive UI that keeps the players engaged.

    • Experience with Unity and UI implementation processes is a must

    • A strong portfolio that showcases UX user flows and UI designs

    • Passion for survival, RPG, and open world games

    • Experience with VFX and audio is a plus

    Responsibilities:

    • Create wireframes, functional prototypes, and mockups to communicate gameplay systems and iterate based on feedback

    • Design and implement user interfaces for a variety of menus, HUD, inventory management and crafting screens as a means to elevate the player experience by making the game systems easier to understand and play

    • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and improve usability

    • Conceptualize, create, and iterate UI elements into the game while maintaining visual fidelity and performance

    • Contribute to the overall game design, leveraging your unique perspective to help deliver the best possible player experience through UX/UI
